How many meals a day do you eat!?

I can never make up my mind on wether I should eat 5-6 small meals a day or 3 large ones. I went to the book store yesterday and every book said to eat 5-6 smalls meals a day to keep metabolism up. I have tried both ways, and I think I am going to try sticking with 5-6 for now.

Do you eat 5-6 small meals or 3 large ones?

  1. I usually eat 3 main meals and then one snack…although in reality my snack ends up similar in size to my main meals (around 400-500 calories). I like the steady flow of energy without having to feel like I’m constantly eating. I think each person is different though. πŸ™‚

  2. I eat 5 meals a day, though the “main meals” are generally a bit larger than the inbetween ones. During the school year I eat 6 though, mainly because I get bored at school and need something to look forward to during the day!

  3. i know everyone says to eat 5-6 meals a day, but i really only eat 3 large ones. i just seem to do better that way, i never feel satisfied after grazing a bit here and there.just do what feels right for your body instead of what everyone claims is right! (:

  4. I eat 3 regular meals with snacks in between. I try to have oatmeal, yogurt or healthy cereal in the mornings, a sandwich for lunch (I love sandwiches) and a regular dinner. Hubby and I are snackers…recently my “go to” snack has been big dill pickles….YUM!

  5. I’m kind of in-between. I eat two major meals (usually around lunch time, and then 1-2 two hours after work. That being said, I snack. A LOT. I have something quick for breakfast before leaving for work, and by the time I’ve been to work for 90 minutes, I’m eating an apple. By 11:30, I want fruit and nut mix. After lunch, I treat myself to M&Ms or a KitKat or whatever little treat I stashed in my bag and then discovered. Before bed, I end up having something else. I can’t do 5-6 small meals because when I seat down to eat, there’d better be a full plate of food. If not, it’s a SNACK. Hahahaha.

  6. I’m a greedy bitch so 5-6 small meals wouldn’t satisfy me. I tried eating 5-6 meals daily and I was constantly hungry, looking at the clock waiting for the next meal or occasionally eating for the sake of it because the clock dictated that I should.

    I practice intermittent fasting now and eat only 2 meals, both consisting of around 1000 calories each. It satisfies my greedy side πŸ˜€
